STAY RELEVANT WITH THE 21ST CENTURY TECHNOLOGY

Striving to remain relevant in this jet age can never be over emphasized, actually, it ought to be one of your priorities. It was timely that Buhari-Osinbajo led administration sought to make young minded folks of age range 18-35 seeking self reliance to be groomed under the umbrella of the National Social Investment Programme crafted as N-Power N-Tech (Comprises N-Tech hardware and N-Tech Software).

So far, N-power beneficiaries cut across all states and geographical locations of Nigeria to sum up over 200,000 volunteers while over 20,000 out of them in N-Tech are learning computer related repairs, maintenance, hardware and mobile phone technology and other related Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry.

According to @npower_ng ”The N-Power N-Tech goal is to train volunteers that will boost the Nigerian device servicing and manufacturing industry”.

In course of the training participants undergo a project base model to training wherein they will be exposed to be professional hardware technologist, software developer with tools and resources to thrive as a modern day hardware technician and software developer entrepreneur.
The program will seek to establish the foundation knowledge, tools and platform upon which participants can pursue a career as entrepreneurs.
Training lasts 11 weeks and culminates with job fairs to link participants with placement opportunities within their respective localities. It goes further to say that beneficiaries will enjoy continuous support even after the duration of the N-power scheme.
Clearly, this vision’s output will serve as a critical catalyst for the expansion of local capacity to service and produce mobile phones, tablets, computers and other relevant devices to serve the local and international market.
The aftermath of the N-Power N-Tech training jobs that will be created are as listed below for volunteers’ in a 2 year duration and will be eligible for a monthly stipend of N30,000.
For N-Tech Hardware:
1.     Assembly plant technician
2.     Device network technician
3.     Hardware device maintenance
4.     Device technician
As well as N-Tech Software are:
5.     App developer
6.     Game developer
7.     Web developer
8.     Computer system analyst
9.     Systems software developer
10.  Software tester
11.  Trainer
It gladdens my hearts being a technologist and seeing the giant stride it will leave in our growing industries.
