Having instituted reforms covering critical sectors of the economy over the past four years, Nigeria under the Buhari administration is making steady progress on the path of prosperity, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN. OSINBAJO TO COMMISSION MAJOR ROAD PROJECTS IN KANO

• VP to lay foundation for first state-owned Cancer Centre Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will on Monday commission some major road projects constructed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State. During the one-day official state visit, the Vice President will also lay the foundation stone for the first state-owned Cancer Centre in the Nigeria. Prof. Osinbajo will be accompanied by Governor Ganduje and other senior government officials in the state. He will commission the Tijjani Hashim Underpass in Kofar Ruwa, the Aminu Dantata Flyover in Sabon Gari amongst other project constructed by the Kano State Government under Governor Ganduje. The Vice President will also make history when he lays the foundation stone of the Kano Cancer Centre, which is the first state-owned cancer Centre in the country, amongst others. UNIFE LIBRARIAN & FORMER CHAIRMAN OF SKETCH NEWSPAPERS, DIPEOLU, DIES AT 89

The death has been announced of Mr. Jonathan Olusesan Dipeolu,MFR, a former Librarian of the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and also former Chairman of the Sketch Newspapers. Mr Dipeolu, the father of Amb. Adeyemi Dipeolu, the Special Adviser on Economic Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari died on 18th of December 2019 at the age of 89, just 26 days to his 90th birthday. Born on 13th January 1930, Mr Dipeolu served the nation in different capacities, earning him recognitions within and outside his profession. He was Librarian of the then University of Ife, and now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, from 1970 to 1990 when he retired. Mr Dipeolu was the Chairman of Sketch Publishing Company Ltd and later worked as a staff member at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
