Sowore, DSS fiasco and Nigeria's misplaced priorities. Days ago,  Nigeria’s democracy set back by a decade at least. The unnecessary re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore by the Department of State Services (DSS) within a court premise was horrific to the eyes. The action put Nigeria on the global map for many wrong reasons. But what bothers me is the fact that Nigerians took to social media to blame the President and Vice President for the actions of the DSS, they barely blamed the DSS in the manner that they should. Nigerians must learn to channel their misgivings and grievances through the right channels. Osinbajo is a Prof of Law and a SAN does not make him a judge or the DSS DG, Nigerians should note this. The Federal Ministry of Power is is to introduce a new Electricity distribution policy called "willing Seller, Willing Buyer". Under the new differential Power distribution policy, electricity would be wheeled directly from the Generation Companies to wiling consumers who are ready to fully settle their bills. The willing consumers may include community and commercial clusters, industrial areas and hospitality sectors. Speaking on a Freedom Radio Phone in programme in Kano, the Minister of Power Engr Sale Mamman said, the policy was designed to save energy losses in the Power sector and assist Generation Companies who have not been getting the full payment for their generated power. The policy has already taken off as a pilot scheme in two states.
